As a Sweat Pink Ambassador, I get a chance to review fun products. This post is sponsored by Bulu Box and I received a box free of charge in exchange of my real, honest review. The review and opinions in this post are my own.
I got a special surprise in the mail the other day – a Bulu Box! So, what the heck is a Bulu Box??
Bulu Box is the first health, nutrition and weight loss discovery box designed to help you feel your best. Each custom box comes filled with a new mix of 4 to 5 premium samples from top brands to try. Every sample is sufficient enough to decide if the product is right for you.
I haven’t tried a subscription delivery service yet and was curious and skeptical of the whole thing.
My box was full of these goodies:
Mediterra Bars: “Mediterra takes all-natural, nutrient rich ingredients and packs them into a delicious and filling bar. Mediterra bars use real fruits an vegetables paired with fiber-rick grains and seeds to create a healthier snack option.”
My Review: I got to try the Savory Bar with Sundried Tomato & Basil. It was yummy! I loved the thought of a savory snack bar. It was filling, gluten-free, non-gmo and full of real ingredients. I really enjoyed this bar.
Quest Protein Powder: “This amazingly delicious protein powder is more than your traditional shake. Quest Powders work as a hunger-stopping shake or as a high-protein baking alternative to traditional flour. Cheat Clean with Quest Protein!”
My Review: I was excited to try this protein shake. It contains a good amount of protein and I love peanut butter. Unfortunately, the last ingredient was sucralose, an artificial sweetener. Not my cup of tea. I tried a sip and it did taste good but was extremely sweet. My husband loved it, though. He liked how thick it was and would definitely drink more. For me, they would have to replace the sucralose with either more stevia, xylitol or maybe just real can sugar before I would drink it.
Movit Energy Gummies: “Movit Energy Gummies use power-boosting ingredients like guarana, CoQ10, and folic acid to combat fatigue and help you perform your best! Movit Energy Gummies contain just 60 calories per serving.”
My Review: These gummies were interesting. I’m not a big fan of taking energy supplements that contain caffeine – especially as a nursing mother. I’d rather have my small caffeine intake from tea or coffee. I know these are more targeted towards athletic performance during a workout or endurance event so I let my husband test these out. He used them before his workout and said they gave him a good boost of energy. The taste isn’t great but not bad either.
Yerba Prima Daily Fiber Formula: “Yerba Prima Daily Fiber Formula helps improve diegestion to rid your body of excess waste and keeps your system running smoothly. Plus, this fiber formula is sugar free and sweetened with stevia!”
My Review: The fiber formula I tested had a natural orange flavor added to it. It uses psyllium seed husks and gluten-free oat bran as the main ingredients. Psyllium is a bulking fiber which means it absorbs water and expands. The taste was pleasant and not overwhelming. I think it’s a good supplement for increasing your fiber intake and helping your body to excrete excess toxins. Just make sure to drink plenty of water on the days you take it.
Earth’s Care Anti-Itch Cream: “Relieve pain and itching associated with skin irritations such as poison ivy, sunburn and minor cuts and scrapes. Earth’s Car Anti-Itch Cream contains no artificial colors or fragrances and is petroleum free.”
My Review: Well, the timing of this was great. Being late summer in the south there are plenty of bug bites on my children and myself so we got to test this out right away! My son liked it and said it helped his ‘squito (mosquito) bite feel better 🙂 I used on my shoulders where I got too much sun and it felt nice and cooling. I like that it was natural and free of petroleum.
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with Bulu Box 🙂
