… dirty ovens, and happy kids.
I have great memories of helping my mom in the kitchen when I was little; that’s where my love of cooking came from. It’s also why I love the holidays – my sisters and I helping my mom in the kitchen making delicious food and sitting down to enjoy it together with our families.
Now that I’m a mother I get to share that with my son. I think it’s rubbing off already – his favorite things are wooden spoons, pots and pans, and helping me stir whatever I’m cooking. Not matter what I’m cooking – whether it be on the stove top or in the oven – he has to watch and see what I’m doing.
Cooking brings us together. Did your mother or father teach you how to cook? I’d love to hear in the comments below.
Happy holidays! May your kitchen be filled with joy, love and laughter this holiday season 🙂
